Whats the best way to care for a fur hat or coat?
• To fluff up your hat when you first take it out of the box, or anytime it needs fluffing shake it briskly. Hold the sides of the hat and shake hands rapidly back and forth, in an alternate fashion. Watch how its done, in this video! • To retain the furs sheen during the wearing season, or if the garment gets soiled, gently brush the fur (in the direction of the grain) with a very soft, natural-bristle hairbrush once or twice. (Some shedding may occur). NEVER brush when wet. • If your hat or coat gets wet, let it dry at room temperature. Never blow-dry it, put it on a radiator or other heat source, or place it directly in the sun, as this could damage the fur and will certainly dry out the skin. • NEVER, wash a fur hat yourself. NEVER put it in the washing machine or dryer. • If your hat needs a thorough cleaning or repair, take it to a furrier or recognized fur specialist. • NEVER leave your hat next to a window. Long exposure to sunlight can cause fading of the natural or dyed color
