Whats the best way for a Canadian to find a software development job in Los Angeles?
I would contact large firms like Intel, AMD, Broadcom however, there is more to California then Los Angeles you most-likely be in Irvine which is in between LA and San Diego. Still in Orange County, however even though they pay well you will be renting an apartment or sharing a house. Homes are very expensive in California. Those are companies I know of that do sponsorship, however the H-1B visa has quota limits, I don’t know about Canada. So I would look to see if there are software, hardware, networking or communication firms that have offices in Canada and California and see if you can secure a job in Canada and then have them sponsor you. Also, look to local Canadian organization, there are a lot of Canadians living in the U.S. They might sponsor you as well.
