Whats the best type of grain i should give my horses?

I wouldn’t give him grain as it can be nutritionally unbalanced. Plus if you only ride 2 times in a particular week, it may be too heating and rich, and could cause problems like azoturia or laminitis. Try giving him a pre-prepared mix from your feed store. I feed my horse a mix called ‘Total’ which comes in a red 20kg bag. I’ve heard that Equisilver Pony Club mix is also good. Just explain to the assistant at the feed store what you’re after and s/he should be able to help. Don’t get anything too heating.
