Whats the best thing about growing up in a big family?
You always have a lot of people around. There was always somebody to play with. We had our own basketball team, hockey team, you name it, and now it’s great because we all work together. There’s that trust you don’t have with other people that you have with family. It’s good to have a big family in this business. What’s the hardest part about having a big family today? It’s very difficult to have a big family just because of all the activities the kids have. You can’t get all your kids to all of those activities. My wife and I wanted to have a big family. We had four and that’s a big family today. I don’t know how we would be able to get the kids to all the things they do these days if we had a larger family. Did you have to put your foot down and say too much of your children’s time was filled with activities? I think the skiing is what accomplished that. It kept things from being year-round, which I think is kind of crazy for youth sports. We encourage them to do as much as they can
