What’s the best thing about being a dad?
Danny: I’d have to say, making the baby – it can be downhill after that… Nah, I absolutely adore my kids, and I’d safely say that they’re the best thing that’s happened to me, and consistently, the thing that keeps me going when things get tough. Netmums: What do you and Pearl usually do on mother’s day? Danny: If I’ve not been dragged off to the studio or some far-off gig, I try my best to give her the day off. That tends to involve looking after the kids while she catches up with girlfriends. We try and get someone to look after the kids in the evening, so that I can spoil her with a nice meal out. Netmums: How do you balance being a rockstar with being a dad?! Danny: Quite naturally, I think. I tend to curb my excesses more than I used to – though I’m not sure whether that’s me mellowing in old age or a conscious decision.
