Whats the best surfboard to surf waves of a small size?
If the waves are only 2-4 feet, this is not enough information to base a decision on what type of surfboard to buy. Although there are lots of people who start out on short boards, and learn control in no time, it is more difficult. Longboards shorten the learning curve for almost everyone. If you are young you will grow, so do not buy a board that will not float you when you gain 3 inches and 30 pounds. Obtaining a “performance” longboard may not be the route to go if break tends to be unstable, because performance longboards do not always behave the way you expect. Some designs hate chop.
