I use either download.com or filehippo.com. Both are good although download.com has a bigger selection. An alternative to the microsoft office suite is OpenOffice. It is completely free and offers much the same features as Microsoft Office. It is also now compatible with the newer office 2007 format (.docx). You can download it here: http://download.openoffice.org/ And two free peices of software I know of which can free rotate images are GIMP and Paint.NET. Both are good although GIMP has more features.
