Whats the best running form or technique for distance-running races?
Incorrect running form and posture can cause you to lose HUGE amounts of energy. It might not feel like it early in the race, but you will definitely get tired faster if you have bad running form. Just look at elite athletes; they all run with perfect form. That’s something they’ve trained to be able to do. In sprinting races you should be landing on your toes as much as possible. That’s the quickest way to run. For other distances, the midfoot is generally the best. Either way, you shouldn’t alter what feels natural to you.
