Whats the best restaurant in Occidental, CA?
0/1 found this review helpful Locally referred to as just ‘the union’, this place is the go to for any day of the week, any time of the day. Foggy mornings are absorbed with the help of sweet cinnamon pull apart bread and white mochas…(or whatever coffee you love) Typically only one or two baristas and plenty of seats and windows to enjoy inside, if that’s your preference. Straight back, you will find the restaurant and patios…all of the food and esp. the pizza here is amazing and so are the deserts. To the right of the restaurant and cafe is the union pub. A great place to grab a pint and see familiar faces. get more informations here http://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g32813-d607090-r21538303-Union_Hotel-Occidental_Sonoma_County_California.html Sources:

Tucked away in the quiet town of Forestville it offers the feeling of eating at someone’s home with the flair of “the big city” presentation. Wide variety of choices in food and wine. I’ve eaten there for both lunch and dinner and have never had anything but a 5-star meal. The staff go out of their way to make each experience enjoyable and memorable. 5 out of 5 stars by slantnan 09/25/2008 Having lived in the Russian River area several years ago while working in tourism promotion, Mosaic was a lovely way to return for a visit. We ate outdoors, a rowdy group (maybe 20) of mostly gay men, celebrating a 58th birthday of a beloved friend, and the service was as good as if for a small table of four. The outdo
From the garden to the table, the California Global menu at Mosaic Restaurant & Wine Lounge reflects chef/owner Tai Olesky’s native Sonoma County roots and philosophy of serving local, fresh, seasonal ingredients. Using the freshest ingredients from local gardens, farms, and ranches, Chef Olesky depends on an abundant supply of the finest and freshest meat and produce as the raw materials for the nightly menu. Mosaic’s sophisticated bohemian vibe and warm rustic interior sets the stage for Olesky’s cuisine. A partially open kitchen allows diners to see the action in the main dining room. A second cozy dining space makes for a more intimate experience. The Wine Lounge with its handmade wood accents and leather loveseats looks out onto the private outdoor Backyard. For the ultimate in alfresco dining, the Backyard features an outdoor kitchen serving a more casual rustic menu. A giant Redwood tree is the focal point of the garden, while an outdoor fireplace warms diners.
