Whats the best ovulation predictor test?
For at least the past decade or so, the leading ovulation predictor test kits were those that read surges in a woman’s leutenizing hormone or LH that happens just prior to ovulation. New ovulation prediction technology has not been a hotbed of innovation. These older test kits typically involve testing urine for LH anywhere from 10 to 20 days during a menstrual cycle. Fertility monitors are similar to ovulation predictor kits in that they read changes in LH and changes in other hormones. There are many drawbacks to using these kinds of ovulation predictor tests. They are prone to human error. They involve the repeatedly messy process of urinating on a test strip or digital wand. And most of all, they really only reveal a very small window of fertility near the day of ovulation. This type of ovulation predictor test does not reveal the full five days of a woman’s fertility window.
