That’s a tough question to answer. It all depends on your OS version and your particular preferences and expectations. There are several permutations of the original NewsWatcher. Some are geared to newsreading only, others for binary transfer. MT-Newswatcher works pretty well as a general newsreader. You’ll find many contributors using YA-NewsWatcher . It works well and is capable of posting segments of a file as well as the whole thing (useful if you need to repost just a missing segment or two rather than the whole file). MT-Newswatcher and YA-Newswatcher are both freeware. Thoth($25 USD) is great and is the only usable newsreader that works natively in MacOS X at this time. Thoth is also capable of posting file segments, and one can use the same copy of Thoth in both 9 and OS X on the same machine, sharing group files and filters. Some people swear by Hogwasher($49 USD)
