Whats the best method to extract codeine from Nurofen Plus?
Unless you want to be paralysed by constipation for a month, I wouldn’t bother. Codeine is not a wonder drug for pain relief and is given in various combinations with paracetamol precisely because of its side-effects. The best over-the-counter analgesic/ anti-inflammatory is still probably Brufen -which you can buy cheaply in any supermarket. You need to be patient to benefit, and take it regularly, as indicated on the instructions. But why not get yourself properly assessed by a primary care practitioner and get the pain relief you deserve. One thing that GP’s are good at is writing prescriptions!
