Whats the best Lip Balm for dry lips?
Vaseline or petroleum jelly will not help as it coats the skin and does not allow moisture to go in or out. Find a balm that does not contain petrolatum, petroleum jelly or mineral oil (these are essentially crude oil refined 7 times!) I swear by my personal and professional favourites which are Bare Escentuals First Base, Arbonne’s RE9 Lip Balm and Bare Esentuals Lip Rever Upper. I used to have a real problem with chapped lips due to dehydration, excessive travel and using products that overdry the lips. Make sure you exfoliate your lips with either a soft wet wash cloth or mix some sugar with olive oil and go over the lips. Wash off and then apply one of the products listed above before going to bed or before you apply makeup. Try to keep an SPF on your lips as the sun does dry them out too. If you are in a pinch, apply some olive oil to your lips that also helps to keep them moisturized. Hope this helps!! Good luck!
