Whats the best INEXPENSIVE Air Purifier I can buy?
I have allergy related asthma, and I live with three cats. I am constantly battling the dust and dander. I knew that I needed to get an air purifier when I began to get sick every time I spent the day at home. But, like you, I did not know which one to buy. I spent days researching which purifier would be the best purchase. I was on a very tight budget, but I also wanted one that worked. My research revealed that most of the so-called air purifiers, actually released unhealthy levels of CO2 and they did not effectively filter all of the air in the room. Even those really expensive Sharper Image Ionizers failed the Consumer Reports testing. I ended up buying a Whirlpool 450, which was the most effective, quietest unit tested by the Consumer Reports.
