Revell kits are usually made from a styrene based plastic. Styrene plastic is not glued it is welded. Testors and others make the acetone-based solvent. Procedure: Test fit all parts, sanding or filing where necessary to ensure a good fit. Remove all excess plastic (flash) from the part. Carefully place a minimal amount of the solvent only on the edge surfaces to be welded. Wait 30 seconds. Reapply. You have about 30 seconds to position the parts and hold them together for 45 seconds to a minute to allow the solvent to evaporate, and the parts to weld together. Because the acetone evaporate, it is best to use it only in a well-ventilated place. This solvent will not work with resin kits.
