When you build a computer yourself you save a bundle, feel good about yourself, know exactly what is in your system and become way more savvy about how to fix it when something goes wrong. The down side that you will have no “whole computer” guarantee. These previous answers are right on the mark. If you want a computer that does what you want it to do you got to do it yourself. Don’t let assembling a computer yourself scare you.
