Whats the Best DETROIT SUBURB city to start family for newly weds in their 20s?
Sterling Heights is northeast of Detroit, and it’s not a nice city anymore. Bloomfield is tired and overrated. Farmington isn’t as nice as it used to be either. If you have the money, move to Livonia, Plymouth, Northville or Novi. You should also consider Walled Lake and Commerce Township. However, if you have a problem with people of color, metro Detroit is not a good place for you to live. We are a huge melting pot of many nationalities and races, and even the far north suburbs, where I live, are becoming more and more integrated. There is no such thing as an all-white neighborhood here, and prejudiced people don’t fit in.
