Since you will only be recording your voice you shouldn’t need a mixer. All you need is a decent mic with a single channel pre-amp: Shure SM 58 – A recording industry standard http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/SM58/ Studio Projects VTB1 – solid state single channel pre-amp http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/VTB1/ I would recommend a solid state pre-amp so you don’t have to worry about replacing tubes.
