Whats the Best and Safest way to get a Free Credit Check ?
You are entitled by law to a free credit report once a year from EACH of the three major credit bureaus (Experian, Equifax, TransUnion). I recommend you check each bureau once a year, a different one every four months. The only site to get a totally free credit report is www.annualcreditreport.com. Make sure everything is correct. Your FICO score is not free, however. You can go the three major bureaus individually; however, it is easier to go the the above-mentioned site.
