My husband and I use Diatomaceous Earth. It’s a pool cleaner sold at pool supply stores. It is made out of dehydrated diatoms so it is very, very natural and very safe for the environment. It works by dehydrating fleas/ticks/eggs. It costs about $15 for a 20lb bag (prices will vary depending on where you live) and it goes a LONG way in spreading. We bought our bag about 6 months ago. We have about an acre of land (in Florida where fleas can be VERY bad) and still haven’t used the whole bag. It isn’t toxic to you or your animals and works VERY well for flea/tick control in your yard. It is a light, white powdery substance so you will want to wear a mask or bandana to cover your nose so you don’t breathe it in but once it’s down, it is harmless to humans and pets (but wreaks havoc on fleas & ticks!). My only other suggestion would be to lightly rake your yard right before you apply the DE to get all of the eggs as close to the surface as possible. Also, if you use chemicals, the fleas an
