Whats the best adobe application to create images for a website to open faster?

I am not familiar with Illustrator or Fireworks but I use Photoshop CS4 to create all of my web page images. This has the save for web and devices feature that allows you to change each sliced image to whatever file type or quality range you would like for the best loading time for your site. I think this feature was mentioned in an earlier answer. You can check out some of my work at http://www.earthmarkwebdesign.com. All of these sites were built in Photoshop CS4 and then sliced and imported to Dreamweaver CS4.
