Whats the background to the Ausmusic Month featured track, Fear Of Heights?
‘Fear Of Heights’ was written at a time when I was living completely outside my comfort zone when it came to all things life and love. After a long period of stagnation and a relationship that had taken more then I thought was possible out of me, I was completely ready to do just about everything in my life, differently to the way I’d done it in the past. I was spending a lot of nights going out in Melbourne where I’d crash at friends places rather then commute the two and a half hours after a lesson, back to my home in the hills. I was seeing loads of live music, meeting more people then I had in a long time and I’d just met one guy in particular that kind of took my breath away. I was half inside and out of my head drunk with the feeling, but lucid too when I started this song, cos’ I remembered feeling it before – that sense of being on the brink of falling completely head over heels for someone. Fear of heights was my attempt to capture all the stuff that was going through my head,
