Whats the average cost of a bass guitar with an amp?
Average is hard to say because there are so many options. A big retailer like Guitar center will ask anything from $300 to $1500 or more for a bass alone. Amps can range from under $100 to thousands. it all depends on what you want and are willing to spend. If you look around online you could find beginner kits as low as $200 but they will be very cheap and probably not last long. Expect to drop close to $800 for a quality guitar, amp, wires, and maybe a bag or stand if you buy it new. Your best deal will probably come from a small local music shop though. Do a Google Maps search of your area and search for Musical Instruments and you will probably see some small private shops you can check out. These places will also be more likely to haggle with you or give you a discount for buying a whole kit.
