Whats the Atheist viewpoint on Theism?

0

It varies. It always varies. Some Atheists object to the idea of a creator existing, saying that the universe happened by chance – which, you and all others should concede is at the very least a possibility. Some Atheists are thus because they disagree with a religions ideals. Some Atheists just favour science and logic over religion, and use that as a sole justification. I consider myself to be an Atheist because of an amalgamation of the above three reasons. That said, I don’t hate Christians, no, I have many good Christian friends. It’s only when people start getting radical that I get irritated.

Well, if it was “matter” that “created” the universe, then it really isn’t traditionally a religious belief. And somebody can still be the atheist if they think stuff existed before the universe did, either through a big crunch, through a multiverse that spawns universes, and so on, and so forth. But in terms of anybody who believes in a supernatural creator, I find that belief simply incorrect, and I don’t attribute any traits directly to its adherent(s) on the basis of that belief.
