Whats the appeal of Roman Britain?
There’s a reconstructed Roman fort just down the road, and this group dresses up as Romans. I was driving by one day and saw all these Romans running around a field. Mmmmm, I thought, fancy that. You publish work under the name Ian Lucas as well, Does Lukas Scott feel like Ian’s naughty twin? It’s nice to have a bit of a devil inside me. Recently you published a straight romantic novel. What made you cross over? I’d had some heart surgery and the broken-hearted theme seemed to sit well with trying my hand at romantic fiction. It just seemed like another interesting challenge, but I also wanted to include some queer stuff, so there are a few nods to queer life in there as well as an ‘Ahhhh’ straight romance. Who do you rate highly amongst gay erotic authors? Lukas Scott. I really haven’t read enough gay erotica. I like projects by people like Alexander Renault, Velvet Mafia, and the more subversive and creative elements. What’s next for you? I’ve got several short stories for Lukas Scot
