Wisconsin is on pace to produce the largest cranberry crop in the nation’s history, a federal agricultural agency said this week. The state is projected to produce 3.75 million barrels of the tart berries, which would be about 2.5 percent more than last year’s record-setting crop of 3.66 million barrels. Wisconsin will have led the nation in cranberry production for 12 straight years, according to the USDA National Agricultural Statistics Service. Massachusetts would be next with 1.75 million barrels, followed by New Jersey at 490,000 barrels.
