Whats special about fostering with Pembrokeshire County Council?
Over 200 Pembrokeshire children and young people need to be looked after each year. To help them we’ve recently increased our financial and practical support for people who foster. As a full or part-time carer for us you’ll : • Care for a local child • Get excellent, friendly, locally-based training and support • Receive an assurance that we’ll work with you to ensure fostering fits in with you and any family you have • Receive a significant, weekly, tax-free allowance If you foster for a private agency they will charge Social Services a fee for using you. Part of this goes towards their company profits, draining money away from improving local services for all of us.
