Whats some good, well-written vampire fiction?
I’m tired of all the vampire romance chick-lit crap too. It seems like all the actual well written vampire novels don’t get any attention, but crap like Twilight, and that other crap that you cant read two full pages without there being some smutty sex scene, get so popular. The Night Inside, Blood and Crysanthemums & A Terrible Beauty, etc. by Nancy Baker (warning, the first book contains some references to necrophelia and it does have some sex scenes that take place on top of corpses and bleeding-out victims) Those Who Hunt the Night, Traveling with the Dead by Barbara Hambly (The first book is a murder mystery where a vampire forcibly “hires” a human ex spy to find out who is killing the area vampires in their sleep, and the sequel is sort of an international spy mystery) Lord of the Dead, Slave to My Thirst by Tom Holland (this is a great, well written series about the poet Lord Byron being made into a vampire instead of actually dying, and it contains a lot of interesting historic
