Whats so special about South Almaden Valley?
The Santa Teresa foothills are bordered on the east by the well-known Coyote Valley, and on the west by the lesser-known South Almaden Valley Urban Reserve (SAVUR) in unincorporated San Jose. SAVUR is linked to San Jose to the north only by McKean Road, a two-lane scenic highway that flows through working farms, orchards and ranches amongst grazing cattle, llamas and horses.
