Whats so special about Basque and its language?

it is interesting, because the language doesn’t boleng to the indoeuropean group of languages. Therefore, this question leads to hundreds of discussions till now. But all the linguists confess that Basques are the early inhabitants of Western Europe (earlier than the Romans maybe) and they had a well-developed system of government and law. Though, they were taken under the spanish control after and had to loose a lot of their culture (therefore they are so agressive towards the spanish people). But the language remained till now.
