Whats so special about air beds?
Way cheaper compared to the regular kind of mattresses, air beds will be able to give you the feel of sleeping on a regular bed as it is designed to be more elevated compared to the usual kind of air mattress, thus giving the illusion that you are sleeping on an actual bed and not just on a makeshift air bed. While air mattresses are popularly used for camping trips or as portable beds during sleepovers, air beds are meant to be used for the home and for a much longer time. If you are looking for a quick and cheap fix for guests who are suddenly staying over then you can get a twin or queen-sized air bed for them to sleep on. While it is not an actual bed, they will still be very comfortable sleeping in an air bed. However, just like with air mattresses, it is not really advisable for babies, especially newborns to sleep on, a crib would still be a safer place for babies.
