Whats so great about Asher Farm Pastured Poultry?
The combination of our beliefs about what to feed our poultry and how to raise them is what’s so great! We strongly believe in not over crowding our birds, and in giving them a high quality of life. We also believe in not giving them anything artificial. We don’t use hormones or steroids, anti-biotics, tenderizers, or vaccines. So none of those things will be passed on to you when you eat them, because they have never been a part of their diet. We let our poultry grow at their own pace, naturally. So you don’t end up with a disproportionate bird that hasn’t been able to walk in weeks! Our chickens and turkeys get exercise every day of their life. Commercial barns often keep lights on up to 24 hours a day to keep their birds awake and eating constantly, our animals have the sun as their light. When the sun sets, they go to sleep.
