Whats so bad about the neighborhood Hells Kitchen?

It’s not bad anymore. It’s been over gentrified. It was so bad someone likened it to being like “hell’s kitchen”. Slaughterhouses, cultural rivalries gave the neighborhood a bad reputation in the 1800s. It wasn’t a particularly pleasant place to be until the mid 1990s. Also, “Clinton” was the neighborhood’s original name. Yuppies want to call it that again because “Hell’s Kitchen” just sounds so “unappealing”. I say it gives the neighborhood it’s character. No one would ever wonder what the neighborhood of “Clinton” was like–that’s how bland it is.
