What’s Snam Rete Gas business?
Snam Rete Gas is the main natural gas transport and dispatching operator in Italy and the only one that regasifies liquefied natural gas. The company operates in a sector subject to regulation. Snam Rete Gas transports and dispatches natural gas and regasifies LNG using an integrated system of infrastructures consisting of a gas pipeline network, compression stations, port terminals, the Panigaglia LNG terminal and a gas dispatching and control system. Snam Rete Gas nationwide gas pipeline network system which now extends for about 31,500 kilometres is directly connected to the production fields, import lines and storage centres which feed the Italian gas system. Its transportation system has not incurred any significant malfunctions in service over the last five years.
