Whats shoujo, shounen, and shounen-ai, and what other genres do you break projects into?
[top] Shoujo, shounen, and shounen-ai are the three main genres of manga we scanlate. Shoujo is geared for girls, while shounen titles are geared toward men. Shounen-ai (also called boy’s love or BL) titles are stories with romances between two men. Projects in each main genre are given sub-genres. Comedy: manga primarily meant to be funny and light-hearted. Cute: manga containing mostly cute/fluffy situations and characters; light-hearted. Drama: titles with an emphasis on relationships and life events. Fantasy: stories taking place in a swords and sorcery setting. Horror: Dark and disturbing stories.
