Whats Seasoning?
Seasoning a pan will help to start the patina which develops a non stick quality to the surface of the pan. To do this, put a generous layer of inexpensive cooking oil in the base of the tray or dish. Place in a hot oven (approx 200◦C) for about 10 15 minutes and then allow to cool. Remove from the oven and dispose of the oil carefully. The bakeware should then be hand washed in warm soapy water, rinsed and dried. It is then ready to use – the more the product is used, the more non stick the surface will become.
