What’s one thing we’d be surprised to hear about William Akers?
WMA: I was on Jeopardy!. It’s the single thing on my resume that everybody wants to talk about. Because nobody in Hollywood will give your screenplay a second chance, it better be perfect the first time out.” With that, as a professional writer and you send off a script to the person that hires you, what is going through your head? Worried about being rejected? Are you 100% confident in what you wrote? WMA: You want the TRUTH? The truth is that I’m scared to fucking death. Every goddamn time. Every time. Half my brain thinks they’re going to hire an assassin to have me killed. Half my brain thinks they’ll like some of it and, hey, it’s writing, we can always fix it.
