Whats NOT to Understand About Annika Sorenstam?
Annika Sorenstam (the best female golfer in the world) is playing in a men’s golf tournament for the same reason that Roy Jones fought John Ruiz. = The Monumental Cowardice of American Athletes I obviously like sports. I like them a lot. I play street basketball with neighborhood teenagers. But I am truly pissed off at the monumental cowardice of American athletes. WHY? Example: The 1991 Superbowl was played during the Gulf War. The athletes, the biggest, studliest gentlemen in the universe, stood at attention while America celebrated a war that was the equivalent of the New York Giants playing a little kids’ Pop Warner team. The ‘Final Score’ of the Gulf Turkey Shoot was 148 dead Americans to 200,000 Iraqis. You guys cannot possibly be stupid enough not to notice the grotesque unfairness of that massacre.
