By Dave Hughes Where will Steve Davis end up? I reported a few weeks ago that the Baltimore area sports veteran got budget cut from WBAL radio, where he hosted evenings. Now, there are rumors that Davis will soon show up somewhere else on Baltimore radio or TV. One rumbling had Davis heading to WVIE, 1370-AM. But, a reliable source shoots down that rumor — and hints that we’ll be learning something soon about Davis’ local media fate. He could end up at new sports talker WJZ-FM, The Fan, or maybe he’ll head back to TV. For many years, Davis did sports on Channel 45/WBFF. Stay tuned. *** Speaking of Channel 45, it and Sinclair sister Channel 54/WNUV are planning to drop their old analog signals Feb. 17, which was the original digital TV deadline. That deadline’s now been extended until June. So, Channels 2, 11, 13, 22/67, and 24 will keep their old analog signals running through early summer.
