Whats new with Alessi Racing?
We got accepted to do the Zolder GP, so Mike will be doing the first three rounds of the GP’s. Jeff now is going to be a 250 rider and Mike is going to be the 125 rider. Jeff is very comfortable riding the 250, and we think it’s a good decision. KTM has plenty of 125 guys and there is a good established team for the 125 class, but they don’t have a 250 rider. Don’t you know that you’re breaking the mold? Yeah, Jeff is pretty young, but the reality is that I think his results will be just as good in the 250 class as they would be in the 125 class. He’s going to race a minimum of four 4-Stroke Nationals. The AMA requires that you have to have one year of AMA pro racing experience and 25 points. Points are not the issue, because Jeff will get those points in the first round of the 4-Stroke Nationals. The issue is that Jeff has not been racing pro for a year. The trade-off for him not racing a year is that he has to race the first four rounds of the 4-Stroke Nationals. Who came up with tha
