Whats new in RHN Satellite 5.3?
RHN Satellite 5.3 contains many exciting new features to assist organizations in managing their Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments. These new features are grouped around three key themes: • Leveraging and including the “best of” open source systems management projects such as Cobbler. This gives customers the best of both worlds – powerful, feature rich tools that now plug into a common systems management framework and are backed with the commercial support and commitment of Red Hat. • Easier management of larger, complex environments. We have expanded the Multiple Organizations capabilities and now offer inter-Satellite synchronization. • Expanded automation capabilities. Satellite’s Application Programming Interface (API) has been expanded so that practically any command that can be accomplished via the web interface can now be done via the API.
