If PM6.5 is working for you and you have no need to import from the latest versions of graphics or word processing programs, or to place the latest versions of PDF files, and have no use for the DataMerge feature, then PM7 may not be for you. It is very similar to PM6.5 There is also a potential problem with the PageTools plugin (no longer being marketed by Extensis). There are some workarounds to get the PageTools toolbars and most of the other parts of the program to work, with varying degrees of success. For details see and The big leap in functionality was from PM6 to PM6.5, giving the option of using Frames for text and/or graphics if you want to. In particular this gives the ability to do layouts before the actual elements are ready.
