Whats New for the 2006 Volkswagen Jetta?
Volkswagen fully redesigned the Jetta midway through 2005 and makes additional updates this year. Most significant is the addition of two new trim levels: 2.0T and GLI. These Jetta versions come with a turbocharged, 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that makes 200 horsepower and 207 lb.-ft. of torque. A six-speed manual transmission is standard and a six-speed DSG automatic is optional. The main difference between the 2.0T and GLI is that the GLI comes with a standard sport-tuned suspension, 17-inch wheels, HID headlights, and a blacked-out grille. Other additions to the Jetta for 2006 include an available DVD-based navigation system, optional dual-zone climate control, a multi-function trip computer, and an optional 115-volt power outlet.Advantages of the 2006 Volkswagen Jetta: Healthy list of standard and available safety featuresMultiple engine optionsRoomy rear seatComfortable front seatsObjections to the 2006 Volkswagen Jetta: Premium pricing for popular modelsStandard 2.5i engine la
