Whats New for the 2005 Isuzu Ascender?
The big news for 2005 versions of the Isuzu Ascender is the availability of an optional 5.3-liter V8 that features fuel-sipping Displacement On Demand (DOD) cylinder deactivation technology, 300 horsepower and 330 lb.-ft. of torque. This new engine is offered only on seven-passenger models. All 2005 Ascenders benefit from freshened interior trimmings; optional XM satellite radio; rollover-sensing side curtain airbags; and a standard advanced occupant restraint system with a front passenger/child-presence detector. The Limited package now contains a 3.73 rear axle ratio, driver adjustable pedals and power rear quarter window vents.
