Whats New for the 2004 Chevrolet Monte Carlo?
For 2004, Chevrolet adds a supercharged model to the Monte Carlo lineup. However, rather than make it standard on the SS, a new model was added: the 2004 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Supercharged SS. The 240-horsepower, 3.8-liter V6 drives the front wheels, and provides the added verve that the SS moniker has demanded all along, though some may hanker for a V8 producing tire dust beneath the rear flanks. Other news includes a redesigned climate control system, new 17-inch alloy wheels, two new exterior colors and an optional Sport Appearance package. Gone are the glovebox dampeners and the oil level sensor (models with the 3.4-liter V6).Advantages of the 2004 Chevrolet Monte Carlo: Comfortable seatingReliable powertrainsSuperb nighttime interior illuminationObjections to the 2004 Chevrolet Monte Carlo: Inexpensive interior materialsSuspension tuned for ride comfort more than performanceRear seat room surprisingly tightEditor’s Advice: Ever wonder who buys the Chevrolet Monte Carlo?
