USDA Organic Seal New federal standards developed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture went into full effect on October 21, 2002. Only certified organic products, like Walnut Acres, can be labeled ‘organic’ on the primary label panel because they contain at least 95% organic content. These are the only products that will be allowed to carry the USDA seal. Don’t settle for anything less. All Walnut Acres products currently fulfill the definition of certified organic and will carry the USDA seal beginning in October 2002. For more information about the standards, visit http://www.ams.usda.
