Whats most financially viable: plastic or wooden pallets?
I’m looking into the total cost of plastic versus wooden pallets through their lifecycle. E.g. price indexes, information about how long a wooden pallet lives compared to a plastic pallet, or how many new plastic vs. wooden pallets I need to keep my pool constant (i.e. percentage breakage, theft…). Also, are plastic pallets appropriate for one-way shipments, and if not, what can be done to make them more attractive compared to one-way wooden pallets? Answers pertaining to the European pallet market would be best, but any information from other markets is much appreciated.
