It is not clear how they will fund the program other than by forcing it out of the American people via extortion. Under the Kennedy-Dodd plan, if you do not purchase a government approved plan, you will be penalized on your taxes. This is strong arming. Already Congress is talking about $600 BILLION needed for the plan, yet they do not know where it will be coming from. 2. There is no incentive for people to be healthy or lead healthy lifestyles. Under the proposal, persons with health problems due to irresponsibility will be lumped in with the healthy population (e.g. alcoholics will be part of the same pool as people who have taken care of themselves). Since there are no insurance limits, etc., there are no motives to make people want to take better care of themselves. Since there is no cap on the policies, the likelihood that people will learn from their mistakes is low. The way
