Whats meant by pooled nominee holdings?
There are a number of different ways of investing in unit trusts and OEICs. Normally if you invest directly with the fund manager or through a fund provider – units/shares are registered in your name. This may involve the creation of paper certificates which can be less convenient. In a pooled nominee account like the unwrapped account offered by Interactive Investor you place your order for investments with Interactive Investor , we then purchase units/shares in your selected funds through a nominee company appointed by Interactive Investor. The units/shares are registered in the name of the nominee company although you remain the beneficial owner of those units/shares.
