Whats Malthusian Theory of Population?
Thomas Robert Malthus was a British scholar, influential in political economy and demography. According to his theory of population, population increase in geometrical ratio where as food supply increase in arithmetical ratio. This mismatch would lead to widespread poverty and starvation. This can only be checked by natural occurrences such as disease, high infant mortality, famine, war. According to this theory there are steps to control the population by preventive and positive check. Preventive means control in birth rate, uses of different method to control birth.
